COVID-19 Work Practices

Effective February 1, 2023

These rules are for both our Float Site and in-person meeting locations

Before entering float building:

COVID-19 vaccination with booster shots is strongly recommended.

Face masks that cover both the mouth and nose are strongly recommended for all volunteers.

N95, KN95 and similar masks are highly recommended.

If anyone is feeling ill, has a temperature above 100 degrees or is coughing please do not enter.

While on site:

When wearing face masks, they must cover both the mouth and nose.

The following face coverings are not recommended:  gaiters, bandanas, masks with valves and scarves.

Clear face shields should also include an approved face mask.

Volunteers are encouraged to stay at least 6 feet apart, when possible.

Volunteers are encouraged to take frequent breaks to wash hands.

        Wear work gloves when possible.

Must wash or disinfect hands before using shared gloves.

Encourage all volunteers to bring their own work gloves, welding gloves, face shields/eye protection, welding helmets and other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

People who show no symptoms can spread COVID-19 if they are infected, any interaction with the general public poses an elevated risk of being exposed to COVID-19, and we cannot guarantee that you will not be exposed during your visit.
